All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Riverside Cemetery--Cody WY Wilson, Jesse Bryan Jesse Bryan Wilson, 72, of Cody, Wyo., passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 after a short illness at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Billings, Mont. Jess was born Oct. 28, 1934 in Boswell, Okla., to Edgar and Iva Searcy Wilson. He grew up and attended schools in Hanford, and graduated from Hanford High School in 1951. Jess joined the Navy in 1953 and was assigned to the USS Forrestal in 1953-54. He married Thelma Cardoza on June 25, 1959 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Hanford. Jess was first employed by U.S. Forestry out of Hanford and at the U.S. Postal Service in Hanford, transferring to Cody, Wyo., as Postmaster. He retired from the postal service on Oct. 31, 1990. Currently he thoroughly enjoyed his friendships with the many associates and customers at Wal-Mart, at his part-time position in the hardware department for approximately five years. Jess enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and his most loved sport of golf with membership at the Powell Golf Club in Powell, Wyo. for several years. He golfed at Pebble Beach in 2001 with family and treasured all his many golf friends both in Hanford and throughout the state of Wyoming. Jess also enjoyed working in his yard and took pride in keeping it in top shape. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of Cody, Wyo.; one sister, Elsie (Al) Ianni; sons, Anthony (Tracey) and Mark (Kelli) Wilson; two daughters, Jacque (Dale) Sims and Jeanette Wilson; grandsons, Justin, Bryan and Roman Wilson; Christopher and Bobby Schultz, Gunther and Magnus Hiltz; granddaughters, Michelle Bennett, Jessica Wilson, Abby Wilson, and Chelsea Schultz as well as step-grandchildren, Nik, Cammey, Heidi and Jacob and great-granddaughter Skylar. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews. Jess was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 16 with a Memorial Mass Tuesday, April 17. Interment of cremains will be at Riverside Cemetery in Cody immediately following. Memorials may be made to Saint Joseph's Children's Home, P.O. Box 1117, Torrington, WY 82240.
