Alpha A. Avent
Alpha A. Avent, 81, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998.
Services will be at 10 a.m Friday in SchoolerGordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon.
Mrs. Avent was born in Felt, Okla. She was a hairdresser, member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Craig Memorial Retirement Center. In 1997, she moved to Amarillo from Tanglewood.
She married Jack H. Avent in 1946 at Amarillo.
Survivors include her husband and a brother, Lee Roy Odneal of Amarillo.
