Dabney James M. "Pat" Dabney, 75, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Windell Taylor, chaplain at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Mr. Dabney was born on Mesa de Maya, near Kim, Colo. He grew up on his family's ranch. In 1990, he moved from Boise City, Okla., to Amarillo, where he had been a resident of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a well tender for Colorado Interstate Gas Co. before retiring. Mr. Dabney served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the European and African theaters. He was the crew chief on a B-25. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Boise City and St. Paul's Methodist Church in Boise City. Survivors include a son, Ray Dabney of Amarillo; a daughter, Darla Dabney of Amarillo; two brothers, Bob Dabney of Amarillo and Jack Dabney of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Julia Williams of Rye, Colo., and Nettie Richardson of Pueblo, Colo.; two grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.
