Funk FELT, Okla. - Lawrence R. Funk, 65, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, in Boise City. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Felt Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Garoutte, pastor, and the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of First Baptist Church in Clayton, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Funk was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Felt, to K.J. Funk and Marie Reimer Funk. He married Jeanetta Sue "Susie" Duncan on June 18, 1960, in Clayton. They farmed and ranched in the Felt area, where he also sold Pioneer Seed for 25 years. He worked for Cimarron County for eight years, retiring in 1999. He had been a member of Gideons International for 25 years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jana Fowler of Boise City; two sons, Mark Funk of Clayton and Jeff Funk of Guymon; three sisters, Clara Vogt and Betty Flaming, both of Tulsa, and Rose Wiens of Mountain Lake, Minn.; four brothers, Harry Funk of Newton, Kan., K.R. "Bud" Funk of Felt, Melvin Funk of Andrews, Texas, and Joe Funk of Duncanville, Texas; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Gideons International or a favorite charity.
