All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Stratford Cemetery--Stratford TX Carl Raymond Garner BOISE CITY, Okla. - Carl Raymond Garner, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, Texas, by Cimarron Mortuary. Mr. Garner was born June 6, 1920, in Dalhart to Dr. F.E. and Elva Pruett Garner. He was reared in Dalhart, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech in 1942 with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Westinghouse in Sharon, Pa., served in the Army and in 1947 married Lois James in Stratford. They moved to Boise City in 1951, where they had the John Deere dealership for 43 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Pruett, who was killed in World War II. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Patricia Fowler and husband, Joe, of Orange Park, Fla., and Leann Judah and husband, Terry, of Yukon; four grandchildren, Shane Fowler of Tallahasse, Fla., Christopher Fowler of Orange Park, Tracey Judah Clodfelter and Lesley Judah Ogle and husband, Joshua, all of Yukon; a great-grandson, Gavin Clodfelter of Yukon; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity and may be sent to the funeral home, P.O. Box 277, Boise City, OK 73933.
