Hammontree KEYES, Okla. - Mamie L. Hammontree, 96, died Monday, March 10, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Keyes First Baptist Church with Harold James, Billy Rammage and Jason Kearney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Willowbar Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Hammontree was born six miles south of Karo, Kan. She and her family moved to Elkhart, Kan., in 1918. She married Howard Peterson in 1919. After Mr. Peterson's death in 1940, she married Monty Everett Hammontree in 1948. He died in 1978. Mrs. Hammontree was a member of the Keyes First Baptist Church, the Keyes Rebekah Lodge and the Keyes Senior Citizens. She also was preceded in death by two children, Florine House and Buddy Petersen. Survivors include 10 grandchildren including Cody Morrow of Borger, Texas, and Cree House of Amarillo; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Keyes First Baptist Church.
