Harris, 82, a former Keyes, Okla., resident, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Keyes with the Rev. Delbert Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Willowbar Cemetery in Keyes by Miller Mortuary. Mrs. Harris was born in Sycamore. She attended school in Independence. She was a schoolteacher in Independence and Liberal. She married Edwin W. Harris in 1941. They moved to Keyes, where they farmed until retiring in 1979. They moved to Liberal in 1981. Mrs. Harris was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Helping Hands Extension Club of Keyes. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993 and a sister, Margaret Armstrong. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia "Ginger" Hill of Liberal, Shirley Brown of Indianola, Neb., and Jacqueline Gillum of Fritch, Texas; a sister, Ida Mae Crouch of Wichita; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Keyes, or to the Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal, c/o Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.
