Hollowell BOISE CITY, Okla. - Ronald H. Hollowell, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel with Frank Lynch and the Rev. Archie Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery in Texas County. Mr. Hollowell was born in Midwell and raised around the Eva community. He attended grade school at Baker and White Hall then went to high school at Texhoma. During World War II, he served in the 14th Armored Replacement Battalion and was stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. His basic training was at Fort Sill. After his discharge, Mr. Hollowell returned to Eva where he worked for Cecil Long until 1945. He then moved to Boise City and was employed by Cox Farm Equipment before working for the Oklahoma State Highway Department. In 1983, he retired after 37 years. Mr. Hollowell had been a member of New Life Pentecostal Church since 1950. He also participated in the Senior Citizens Center. He married Ruth Tosh in 1945 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Hollowell of Mission, Texas; a daughter, Donna Hamm of Jefferson City, Mo.; and three grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church or a favorite charity which may be left in care of the mortuary.
