All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Elkhart Cemetery--Elkhart OK Amarillo Globe News 2 Apr 1997 Jim Kincheloe CLAYTON, N.M. - Jim Kincheloe, 85, died Monday, March 31, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery at Elkhart, Okla., by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Kincheloe was born in Bucklin, Mo. He married Muriel Lorraine Compton in 1934 at Richfield, Kan. He homesteaded to Torrence County in 1933 and moved to Boise City, Okla., in 1941. He farmed and ranched in the Sedan area of Union County from 1948 to 1964, when they moved to Clayton. While living in Clayton, he continued his farming interests in the Boise City area and Colorado until 1985. In 1955 he was named Farmer of the Year by the ASCS. He was active with the Farm Bureau and was the first president of the Sedan Farm Bureau. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Muriel Morine Viola Kincheloe, in 1939. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Zoe Kenemore of Dumas, Texas, and Jimmie Lorraine Brown of Phoenix; two sisters, Ada Hunt of West Plains, Mo., and Eathel LIndell of Kimboltlon, Ohio; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandsons. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cimarron County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cimarron/cimarron.htm
