Lila Faye King Lila Faye King, 83, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999. Private family services will be at the King family ranch in New Mexico. Cremation arrangements were handled by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. King was born in Boise City, Okla., where she graduated from high school in 1935. She worked in the county clerks office until she moved to Albuquerque, N.M., in 1942 with her husband. In 1997, they moved to Amarillo. Mrs. King and her husband owned and operated Mesa Tractor Co. for many years. She was a member of Unity Church and served as the Sunday school superintendent and a teacher for 20 years. She was a member of the National Old Time Fiddlers Association. She married Ralph King in 1936 at Boise City. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Esther Barnett; two grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters. The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center, Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001.
