Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with the Rev. James Washburn, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Stratford, and the Rev. Leon Laney, pastor of Spiritual Life Center in Dalhart, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Blake was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Griggs, Okla. He retired from the road maintenance department in Sherman County. Survivors include his wife, Bertha; three daughters, Cyndie Bell of Albuquerque, N.M., Peggy Teague of Brady and Debbie Lockhart of Canyon; three sons, Richard Lee Blake of Dallas, William Earl Blake of Stratford and John Lockhart of Clarendon; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105. Amarillo Globe-News, June 13, 2002
