All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Llano Cemetery--Amarillo OK Amarillo Globe News 15 Oct 1998 Vivian Eloise Owens Vivian Eloise Owens, 74, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dana Moore of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Dr. Larry Payne of Coulter Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Owens was born in Henderson County. Before moving to Amarillo in 1975, she lived in Masterson and Keyes, Okla. She married William "Buddy" Owens in 1940 at Henderson County. Mrs. Owens was a homemaker. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Big Texan line dancers and Amarillo Senior Citizens line dancers. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and by two daughters, Carla Lynn Smalts, in August, and Vickie Owens in 1968. Survivors include a son, Gary D. Owens of Amarillo; two sisters, Joann Clifton of Amarillo and Claudine Colvert of Borger; five grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
