Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Ford officiating. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mr. Potter was born Oct. 4, 1936, in Boise City, Okla. He worked in the oil industry as a pumper, retiring in May 1999. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Mark Potter of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Lori Freeman of Woodward, Okla., and Shelley Carver of Lubbock; a brother, Lyman Potter of Boise City; a half-brother, Otto Potter of Winslow, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to Darrouzett American Legion, Kiowa Post No. 635 or Darrouzett Masonic Lodge No. 1156.
