All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--Amarillo TX George Jewel Rammage DALHART - George Jewel Rammage, 94, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999. Services will be Thursday in First Baptist Church at Dumas. Burial will follow with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Willingham, pastor of First Baptist Church of Dumas, and the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of First Baptist Church of Clayton, N.M., officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home of Dalhart. Mr. Rammage was born in Dalhart and spent much of his early life in Felt, Okla., and Texline. He was a veteran of World War II. In 1956, he moved to Dalhart where he worked as a city employee until 1973. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Texline Masonic Lodge No. 1135. He married Margaret Louise Wheeler in 1946 at Capulin, N.M. She preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons, Joe Rammage of Dumas, Albert Rammage of Plano and Gene Rammage of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Beth Phillips of Garland and Winnie Hagenah of Fowler, Colo.; three brothers, Jim Rammage of Checotah, Okla., Bill Rammage of Texline and Joe Rammage of Dalhart; a sister, Agnes Taylor of Udall, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity.
