Jean Reed

FRIONA - Jean Reed, 69, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Friona United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Don Boren, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by 
Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reed was born and raised in the Friona area. She lived in Keyes, 
Okla., where she served as the city clerk for a number of years. In 
1981, she retired and returned to Friona. She was a member of Friona 
United Methodist Church and the Friona Rebekah Lodge.

She married George W. Reed in 1949 at Friona. He died in 1993.

Survivors include her mother, Eunice Horner of Friona; a son, Jim 
Reed of Woodward, Okla.; a daughter, Susan Terry of Gate, Okla.; five 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and 
Life Enrichment Center, 200 N.W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; or 
Friona United Methodist Church, 301 E. Eighth, Friona, TX 79035.
