All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Charles Franklin Rhoton Jr. KEYES, Okla. - Charles Franklin Rhoton Jr., 75, died Sunday, July 13, 1997. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Keyes United Methodist Church with Fred Edminson officiating. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mr. Rhoton was born in Keyes and graduated from Keyes High School in 1940. He attended Panhandle State University in Goodwell for two years. He then worked for First State Bank of Keyes. He was the postmaster at Keyes for 23 years. He also had farmed in the Keyes area for most of his life. Mr. Rhoton was a member of Keyes United Methodist Church and a member and past president of the Keyes Lions Club. He served in the Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married June Christerson in 1942. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kendall Rhoton of Enid and H.F. Rhoton of Elkhart, Kan.; a daughter, Peggy Begley of Boise City; and a grandchild. The family requests memorials be to a favorite charity.
