All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Baker Cemetery--Guymon OK Amarillo Globe News 4 Mar 1997 Mamie Rogers KEYES, Okla. - Mamie Rogers, 90, died Sunday, March 2, 1997. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Keyes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Del Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Rogers was born in Pollock, Mo. She attended school at Pollock before her family moved to the rural Texhoma area. She graduated from the eight grade at North Fork School and attended high school in Texhoma. She married Harry Ford in 1924 at rural Texhoma. They lived in Keyes, where they helped to built the depot, the section house and some of the first buildings in Keyes. After Mr. Ford's death, she married Charles Rogers at Truth or Consequences, N.M. They lived in Keyes and many parts of New Mexico before returning to Keyes. She also was preceded in death by her second husband; a son, Donald Joe Ford; a daughter, Winifred June Ford; three infant daughters; and two infant sons. Survivors include two daughters, Esther Israel of Keyes and Wilma Lee Patterson of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Jeff McDonnold of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Eufa Jean Reece of Farmington, N.M.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the Morton County Care Center at Elkhart or a favorite charity.
