All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Boise City Cemetery--Boise City OK Amarillo Globe News 30 Oct 1998 Imogene Scott BOISE CITY, Okla. - Imogene "Imo" Scott, 76, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church with John Henley of the Boise City Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker. Mrs. Scott was born on the family ranch at Des Moines, N.M. She moved with her family to Shay, Okla. She graduated from high school in Kingston at age 17. She married E.G. Bearden in 1940 in Marietta. They moved to Sandcanyon and later to El Centro, Calif. They returned to the Shay area, where they farmed peanuts, later moving to Gruver, Texas. They moved to Cimarron County to sharecrop. In 1946, they purchased the Sinclair service station on the square in Boise City and moved to town. After her husband's death in 1974, she managed Bearden Farms into its third generation. She also was a homemaker. She married L.A. "Scottie" Scott in 1991 at Las Vegas. She also was preceded in death by a son, Wayne, in 1974. Survivors include her husband; her children, LaRue Johnson of Amarillo, Jeannie Daffern of Hooker, Linda Loofbourrow of Boise City, Don Scott of Guymon and Lawrence W. "Sonny" Scott of Front Royal, Va.; three brothers, Ray Armstrong and Irwin Armstrong, both of Kingston, and Leland Armstrong of Casper, Wyo.; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
