Robert Edwin Spencer

CLAYTON, N.M. - Robert Edwin "Bobby" Spencer, 72, died Saturday, 
March 29, 1997.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Clayton Church of God 
with the Rev. Ed Murphy, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by 
Hass Funeral Directors.

Mr. Spencer was born in Wheeless, Okla. He was a 1940 graduate of 
Clayton High School. He married Alice Gander in 1954 at France.

He was a sergeant major in the Army when he retired in 1968 after 25 
years of service. He had lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., since 
1988.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John Spencer of Colorado Springs; 
and his mother, Bernice Dance of Clayton.
