Wallace Ray Thornton

BOISE CITY, Okla. - Wallace Ray Thornton, 41, died Tuesday, July 1, 
1997.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Felt Baptist Church at Felt 
with Billy Rammage and the Rev. Jeff Bradley officiating. Burial will 
be in Kenton Cemetery at Kenton by Cimarron Mortuary.

Mr. Thornton was born in Boise City and raised on the family farm 
near Felt. He graduated from Felt High School and attended college 
for two years in Sayre and for two years in Weatherford.

He worked for his father until he joined the Marines. He served in 
the Marines for seven years as a warehouse man. After leaving the 
Marines, he worked around the Clayton and Boise City areas.

Survivors include a son, Preston Paul Thornton of Boise City; a 
daughter, Jackie Thornton of Boise City; his father, Richard Thornton 
of Amarillo; a sister, Mayra Grayson of Scott City, Kan.; two 
brothers, Charles Thornton of Penell, Okla., and Robert Thornton of 
Amarillo.

The family requests memorials be to the Thornton children. Memorials 
may be left in care of Cimarron Mortuary.
