::Bertrand Cemetery--Felt OK

Hubert Earl Wells

FELT, Okla. - Hubert Earl Wells, 72, died Friday, May 14, 1999.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Felt Baptist Church with Jeff 
Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery by Cimarron 
Mortuary of Boise City, Okla.

Mr. Wells was born in Logan, Okla., and was a 1942 graduate of 
Laverne High School in Laverne, Okla. In Slapout, Okla., he worked as 
a carpenter and in Laverne, he drove a transport and worked for 
Laverne Coop. In 1960, he began working as a private contractor and 
built homes in Laverne until he moved to Felt in 1976. He farmed in 
Felt and was a member and deacon of the Felt Baptist Church.

He married Glenna Smith in 1963 at Laverne.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Wells of Felt; two 
daughters, Sharon deBoer of Dalhart and Kristy Murdock of Boise City; 
a sister, Edythe Anderson of Laverne; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the Baptist Children's Home or 
the Gideons and may be left in care of the funeral home.
