Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Rusco Ranch, north of Keyes. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Jayton Cemetery in Jayton, Texas. Arrangements are by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mr. Smith was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Jayton. He married Charylene Branter on July 11, 1969, in Jayton. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Christy Lowry of Mounds; a son, William Cody Smith of Keyes; and his father, Ray Smith of Jayton. The family suggests memorials be to Diabetes Association or a favorite charity and may be left in care of the mortuary. Amarillo Globe-News, May 10, 2002
