Albright, 82, of Norman, died Sunday, February 23 at Norman Regional Hospital. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Dickson Baptist Church in Midwest City. Rev. Joe Dee Ray, an old friend from their seminary days, will officiate. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery. Reverend Aibright was born in Vera, Texas, October 22, 1920 to Earl and Viola Albright. Harvey graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth with Masters degrees in Divinity and in Religious Education. At Hardin-Simmons, he met Lonella Seal and married her after graduating from seminary. They pastored the Little City Baptist Church as newlyweds and then moved to Olivet Baptist Church in Tulsa, where their two daughters, Mary and Angela were born. In 1952, Harvey was called to Dickson Baptist Church in Midwest City and stayed for over 33 years. During that time he wrote training materials for the Southern Baptist Convention, served on the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in addition to his ministry to the community of Dickson. After retiring as Pastor Emeritus at Dickson, he served as interim pastor at churches in Goldsby, Dibble, Turpin, Beaver, Balko, Belview, and Forgan, Oklahoma. During retirement, he and Lonella volunteered as Missionary Associates to the Baptist Village in Israel. For recreation, Harvey was a member of the SCARS ham radio club; his call sign was KA5ETQ. He also loved photography and writing poetry. Reverend Albright is survived by his wife, Lonella, daughter, Mary Varner of Kansas City, MO and her husband, Michael and children, Zack, Katie and Rebecca, and Angela Albright of Long Beach, CA and her husband, Ken Reiff and children, Matt and Elizabeth. Memorial contributions can be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or the Arthritis Foundation.
