Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hanchett officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Washington, Okla. Mr. Armstrong graduated from Washington High School in 1940 and was a resident of Norman and Goldsby area for most of his life. He was a self- employed heavy-equipment operator and land developer. Mr. Armstrong also lived in Redding, Calif., and Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada. He served as deacon and song leader for the Goldsby Baptist Church before moving to Redding. He was a member of the Berry Road Baptist Church. He married Frances Kerr in 1939 at Paoli, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bruce Armstrong. Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy L. Armstrong of Tulsa; two daughters, Sherryl Sandersfeld of Norman and Elizabeth McCoy of Amarillo; two sisters, Lucille Masters of Norman and Katherine Lassitter of Denton, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
