Harold Robinson Bacon 1916 - 2007 Funeral services for Harold Robinson Bacon, 90, of Checotah, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Checotah with Reverend Bill Sherrel and Reverend Steve Dennis officiating. Pallbearers are Lloyd Dupler, Walter Allmond, Jerry Longerier, Dewayne Matthews, Bob James and Ed Weeks. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Viewing will be held Friday, February 2, 2007 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Checotah. Mr. Bacon was born June 20, 1916 in Stella, Oklahoma the son of Fred R. Bacon and Gertie Mae Williams Bacon and died January 30, 2007 in Checotah. He married Lorene Misenhiemer August 29, 1940 in Checotah. He was retired from Safeway after 23 years and was a farmer and had lived in the Checotah area most of his life. He loved piano and guitar music. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Checotah. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorene in 1990, son Virgil Lee Bacon, four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his children, Shirley Carter and husband Charley of Checotah, Curtis Bacon and wife Shelly of Hinton, OK and J. E.
