All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Norman IOOF Cemetery--Norman OK Norman Transcript September 30, 2003 Wiley Lewis (Brownie) Brown Wiley Lewis (Brownie) Brown, 73, of Norman died Monday, Sept. 29, in Norman. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Norman IOOF Cemetery. Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman is handling arrangements. Mr. Brown was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Taylor, Texas, to Walter R. and Ethel J. Allbriton Brown. He moved to Norman in 1939 from Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended Norman High School. He worked at Greenleaf Grocery before serving in the U.S. Navy for five years, five months and a day. He worked 28 years at the Tinker Field Commissary after he left the Navy. He married Celia May Toney on April 18, 1953, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of Alameda Church of Christ. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruby Beckman and Pauline Brown; and brother, Walter Ray Brown. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Celia of the home; son, Randy Lewis Brown and wife, Robin, of Norman; daughter, Janice Ann Maddox and husband, Dennis, of Norman; sisters, Ruth Malone of Tyler, Texas, Maxine Collier of Wichita Falls and Billie Willis and husband, Ralph, of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Neal T. Brown and wife, Oleta, of Norman; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
