All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery--Muleshoe TX Byrd, Gorman Chapel Service for Gorman Byrd, age 75, of Brownfield, TX, were held on Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Byrd of Clovis, NM and Bro. Glenn Harlin of Springlake officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Gorman went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 3, 2007, in Brownfield. He was born December 28, 1931, in Petersburg, TX. He married Juanita Caldwell in Norman, Oklahoma on August 24, 1956. He was a member of Calvery Baptist Church in Brownfield, TX. Gorman served 4 years in the U.S. Army, his main occupation was farming, in and around Farwell, TX. He attended high school in Muleshoe and also attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX. He served as Deacon and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Clovis, NM. Gorman was much loved by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Byrd and a brother, Gerald Byrd. Survivors include is wife, Juanita Byrd of Brownfield; 2 sons, Steven Byrd and his wife Olivia of Albuquerque, NM and Neal Byrd of Brownfield, TX; brother Bob Byrd and his wife Joyce of Clovis, NM; and a sister, Barbara Fudge of Tulia, TX.
