Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wadley's Funeral Chapel in Purcell with the Rev. Bruce Hill officiating. Wadley's Funeral Service is handling arrangements. Mr. Coker was born Jan. 21, 1916, in Pauls Valley, to James and Panola Coker. He had lived in Lexington since 1956. He was raised and attended school in Elmore City. He married Esther Dean Dec. 21, 1935, in Elmore City. He was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Lexington First Baptist Church and a deacon for many years. Mr. Coker was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Esther. Mr. Coker is survived by his sons, Gervis Coker Jr. and wife, Donna, of Lexington, Jimmy Coker and wife, Susan, of Bartlesville, and Terry Coker and wife, Kathy, of Tulsa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
