Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at McMahans Funeral Home Chapel in Noble. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Noble, under the direction of McMahans Funeral Home. He was born April 19, 1937, in Wewoka, where he graduated from high school in 1954. He and his wife, Erma, were married Dec. 9, 1979, in Slaughterville. They made their home in Noble until 1980, then lived in several locations before moving to Tulsa three years ago. He served with the U.S. Navy as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing and anything to do with electronics. Mr. Choate is survived by his wife, Erma, of the home in Tulsa; 11 children, Debra Lynn, Marcella, Brenda, Harold, John, Joann, Tammy LaJune, Jonathan, Brian, Charles and Terry Don; 29 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosa; and three brothers, R.D., Albert and Richard. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Edmond, and a sister, Betty.
