Vollie "Bubba" Cates

NORMAN, Okla. - Vollie "Bubba" Cates, 52, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Pam Cel Hall at Celenese in 
Pampa, Texas. A gathering will be held at 1933 N. Christy in Pampa. 
Arrangements are by Guardian-Norman Funeral Home.

Mr. Cates was born June 10, 1953. He was a truck driver for National 
Carriers, who enjoyed traveling the open roads and listening to country 
music.

Survivors include his father, Vernon Cates and wife, Linda, of Garland; 
two daughters, Marcie Patterson and husband, Thomas, of Earling, Iowa, and 
Rebecca Mitchell of Norman; a son, Dusty Cates of Earling; his longtime 
love, Glenda Gallaher, of Norman; two stepsons, Paul and Doug Budd of 
Pampa; two sisters, Kim Charles and Cami Cates of Pampa; and a brother, 
Ricky Cates of Pampa.
