All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Havenbrook FH--Norman OK Havenbrook Funeral Home Obituary Man Lung Chan Man Lung Chan, 62, of Norman, Oklahoma, died April 13, 2005, at Norman Regional Hospital. Public viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M. to Noon on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 16, 2005, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend George Wilson officiating. Mr. Chan was born September 29, 1942, in Shanghai, China, to Shui Kwei Chan and Pang An Fung. He moved to the United States in 1961, and attended Mississippi College, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in Physics. He continued his studies and received a Masters degree in Physics at Mississippi State College. Mr. Chan then moved to Norman to work on his Ph.D in Engineering Physics at the University of Oklahoma. He married Kit Mui Leung on July 3, 1967, in Mississippi. In 1973, he opened the House of Dragon restaurant in Norman, which he owned and operated until 1991. Mr. Chan also owned an eggroll factory located in Norman and a second restaurant in Seminole, Oklahoma. He also worked as a reservation sales agent with Southwest Airlines from 1996 until his death. Mr. Chan was preceded in death by his father; brother, Anthony Chan; and granddaughter, Annie Elizabeth Chan. Survivors include his mother; wife, Kit Mui L. Chan; two sons, William James Chan, of Norman and Benjamin Franklin Chan, of McKinney, TX; daughter, Ming Ming Chan of Dallas, TX; sister, Betty Wong, of Norman; and three grandchildren, Benjamin Ross Chan, Nicholas Wayne Chan and Elizabeth Jane Chan. The family thanks all those who provided care and support over the years.
