All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lemoore Cemetery--Lemoore CA Lemoore Advance 24 May 2007 Frances Whitten Croslin Frances Whitten Croslin of Bakersfield, formerly of Lemoore died May 21, 2007 in a Shafter care facility at the age of 89. Mrs. Whitten was born to Oscar and Josie Whitten on Dec. 3, 1917 in Norman, Okla., the fifth of 10 children. She moved to California with her husband, Lloyd in 1937 and eventually settled in Lemoore in the early 1950's. Mrs. Whitten worked at the Lemoore Post Office for over 20 years and was a member of Glad Tidings Church in Hanford for many years. She was a loving Christian woman who lived the example and imparted her faith to her children. Mrs. Whitten is survived by son, Jay Croslin and wife, Luedean of Bakersfield; four daughters, Athalea Bell of Anaheim, Mary Becknal and husband, Doug of Conroe, Texas, Marjorie Cason and husband, Robert of Murrieta and Frances Orr and husband, John of Oceanside; brother, Darrel Whitten of Burney; four sisters, Mildred Caldwell of Shawnee, Okla., Roberta Harrah of Lemoore, Hazel Davenport of Stockton and Oleta Crisp of Corcoran; 12 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25 at the funeral chapel. Private burial will follow in Lemoore Cemetery.
