All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Havenbrook Funeral Home Obituary Jennifer Layne Carter Jenny Carter, 23, of Venice, California, formerly of Norman, Oklahoma, died Thursday, October 13, 2005, in California. A Celebration Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 21, 2005, at Alameda Church of Christ with Mr. Rusty Tugman officiating. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Jenny was born May 8, 1982, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Stanley Frank and Cynthia Ann (Ford) Carter. Jenny and her family moved to Norman when she was four. Jenny attended the Norman schools and graduated from Norman High School in 2000. Jenny attended Oklahoma City University for one semester before attending a Culinary Institute in Los Angeles, California, where she graduated in 2003. She enjoyed a number of hobbies and activities, including photography, crafts, sewing, and cooking for family and friends. She loved her family and friends. She loved being on the beach, her dogs and butterflies. Jenny was a warm, giving and independent woman, who touched many lives in her own unique way. She was especially happy around children. Jenny's dad often described her as the neon sign… outgoing, bright, quick witted and would talk to everyone. Jenny was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Jo Carter. Survivors include her parents, Stan and Cindy Carter, of Norman; brother, Justin and fiancée, Staci, of Norman; boyfriend, Jacob Jenny of Malibu, CA; and grandparents, JL and LaJuan Ford of Bryant, AR, and James A.
