Services are pending with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. ========= Norman Transcript October 16, 2003 Charles "Chuck" Duffy Charles "Chuck" Duffy, 78, of Lexington died Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Norman Veterans Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will be at Lexington Cemetery. Wilson-Little Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Duffy was born July 20, 1925, in Lexington, to Homer and Lola Claunch Duffy. He grew up in Lexington. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Imogene Fancher after being discharged. They had four children. Mr. Duffy later married Jean Farrar. He worked in public relations for Oklahoma Farmers Union Insurance. He was a salesman the rest of his life. He sold insurance for All-State, automobiles and worked for Otasco for many years. He retired in the 1970s. Mr. Duffy is survived by his sons, Charles Duffy Jr. of Madill, Mark Duffy of Lubbock, Texas, and John Duffy of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Virginia Gayle Duffy of Concord, N.H.; step-children, Tommy Farrar and Darlene Broesglin; brothers, Robert Duffy and wife, Jimmie, of Norman and Richard Duffy and wife, Karol, of Purcell; sisters, Virginia Morris of Oklahoma City, Lee Mantooth of Wayne, Joan Laughlin and husband, James, of Lexington and Margaret Womack and husband, Don, of Norman; and seven grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cleveland County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cleveland/cleveland.html
