Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 24, 2002 at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church with Reverend Dianne Kovacs Peters officiating. Burial will be at the Norman IOOF Cemetery in Norman, OK. Pallbearers will be Will Davis, Steve Davis, Ryan McMurray, Richard McMurray, John Misialek, Jerry and Denny Hopkins. Honorary Bearers will be Bob Roloff, Dr. Charles Barbee, Dr. Bob Minter and Vic Schuelein, Sam Alaimo, John L. Moore, Kenneth Kemp, Charles Power and Lester Reed. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, OK. Mr. Dickinson was born July 15, 1922 in Prague, Oklahoma, to Flossie and Calvin Dickinson. He graduated from Prague High School and then moved to Norman to attend O.U. He earned his Architecture license and went on to be a partner in the architectural firm of Bailey, Bozalis, Dickinson and Roloff. His firm designed the gold dome in Oklahoma City that is being preserved as an Oklahoma Landmark. He also designed the Myriad, Blue Ribbons Down and the Pasteur Medical Building. Mr. Dickinson married Maxine Moore on December 23, 1942. They have always lived in Norman. Mr. Dickinson was a W.W. II. Army Veteran and served in the South Pacific. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Dickinson is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Mackie; his son, Gary; twin daughters and their husbands, Jane and John Misialek, and Janet and Richard McMurray; special family member, Steve Davis; and six grandchildren, Ryan and Kelsey McMurray, Will and Mollie Davis, and Nina and Shane Misialek. He is also survived by a sister, Nina and husband, Kenneth Kemp; a brother, Dan Dickinson; brothers-in law, John L. Moore and wife, Jeanne, and Charles Power. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
