Born June 16, 1911 to George and Blanche Coln, she died at her daughter's home in Norman on Wednesday, June 21. She married Tol E. Dickenson in Yukon on May 10, 1929, the night she graduated from high school. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1998 at the age of 90. The couple had four daughters and spent the major part of their lives in Norman from 1932 to 1972. She was a homemaker and renowned for her sewing and cooking skills. After 20 retirement years in Zapata, Texas the couple returned to Oklahoma and made their home in Sulphur. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne and Murrell Coln; one son-in-law, Louis Burnett and one nephew, Bobby Ping. She is survived by her four daughters, Tollie Burnett, Bandera, Texas, Karen Diers, Norman, Paula Lewis, Sulphur and Larry Gayle Russell, Wynnewood; two sisters, Pauline Ping, Dallas, Texas and Elsie Roff, Norman; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cleveland County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cleveland/cleveland.html
