All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Oakmont Memorial Park--Lafayette CA Dingus, Raymond "Evert" Raymond "Evert" Dingus Resident of San Pablo He was born in Norman, Oklahoma on June 29, 1911. Moved to San Pablo in 1942. Built Liberty Ships for Kaiser in Richmond until 1945. Opened "Dingus Iron Works" in San Pablo in 1946. Local blacksmith for 50 years, retired at age 85. For 40 years he was active in local Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, and has held many chairs in his Lodge: Member of IOOF, Rodeo Lodge #196 and Apollo San Francisco Lodge #123. His loving wife, Viola Dingus; grandson, Michael Wheeler; and sons-in-law, Robert Wheeler and Fred Adams preceded him in death. Evert is survived by his children, daughter, June Wheeler-Ferreira; husband, Paul Ferreira of San Leandro; and grandson, Raymond Wheeler; and best friend, Judy Ryan of San Pablo; daughter, Audrey Adams of Midland, MI; granddaughter, Lisa Kinter and husband, Ron Kinter; great-granddaughters, Sarah and Alisha Kinter of La Peer, MI; grandson, Lauren Adams and wife, Laura Adams of New Stanton, PA and their children; grandson, James Adams and great-grandchildren, Amber and Corwin Adams of Midland, MI; and son, Joe Dingus of El Sobrante. A visitation and time of refreshments will take place on Thurs., 3/1, from 3-7 p.m. at Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary, 13644 San Pablo Ave., San Pablo. Funeral services will follow on Fri., 3/2, 12:30 p.m., also at Wilson & Kratzer. Interment will be in Lafeyette, at Oakmont Memorial Park.
