Passed away June 28, 2001 at Kaiser Hospital, in Roseville. Jack was a resident of Penryn for 17 years. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma, on June 28, 1924, and served in the American Merchant Marines during WWII, at which time he met and married Helen Vault, his wife of 55 years. Jack was a retired Longshoreman and loyal member of the ILWU Local 18 for over 29 years. Jack was a loving and generous man to all who knew him. He loved to fish, dance, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Jack is survived by his 3 children; Jack of Seattle, Linda and husband Mark Mitchell of Citrus Heights, and Richard of Penryn; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2001, at the Loomis Veteran's Memorial Hall on Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis. Private Inurnment. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Society.
