Ray Allen Genzler, Sr. of Norman died Tuesday, July 16, at Norman Regional Hospital. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 20, at Twelve Corners Baptist Church, 15601 E. Etowah Rd., (8 mi South of Hwy 9 on 156th Avenue) Noble, OK. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Norman, OK. Paylor Funeral Home in Midwest City is handling arrangements. Visitation will be from 8am-6pm Friday at Paylor Funeral Home. Ray was born March 28, 1958 in Redfield, SD to Robert & Joyce Genzler. He married Vina Neer on June 5, 1986 in Norman. Ray and Vina made their home near Little Axe, Oklahoma over the last 16 years. Ray was a very active member of 12 Corners Baptist Church, Noble, OK. He was involved in the Men's Ministry Team, enjoyed ministering with and having pool parties at his home for the youth group. He was employed at Tinker AFB, OK as an Engineering Technician in Bldg 3001. He loved to do for others, always giving above and beyond anyone's expectations. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karissa Genzler and two brothers, Johnny and Danny Genzler. He is survived by his wife Vina and son Brint Michael of the home; his son Ray Allen, Jr. of Del City, OK; his parents Robert & Joyce Genzler of Midwest City; grandmother, Berta Genzler of Tulare, SD; brother, James Genzler of Norman; sisters Jane Kinsey & husband Wayne of Oklahoma City, Grace Majors, Del City, OK; Donna Genzler of Moore, OK; Lynn Genzler of Midwest City. Sisters-in-law Rosie Pool & Husband Billy of Irene, TX, Carol Hickok & husband Oris of Norman, Betty Cooper & Husband James of Norman, Louise Winn & husband Mark of Norman; Tammy Swopes of Norman. Brothers-in-law Louis Neer & wife Maudie, Pauls Valley, OK, James Harrison & wife Leann, Davis, OK; Joe Burns & wife Sandy, Norman, OK. Many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of loving friends and brothers & sisters in Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial to Twelve Corners Baptist Church Men's Ministry Fund or Youth Fund in honor of Ray.
