All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== Greeson, Jeanette Mae Jeanette Mae Greeson, 85, a longtime resident of Norman, joined God and her loved ones in heaven on August 27, 2005. She was born on May 16, 1920 in Pauls Valley, OK. Jeanette was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She cared deeply for her friends and family and was a constant source of love, encouragement, strength, and stability for all of us. Her strong Christian faith was always evident in her words and actions. She and her husband were longtime members of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Norman. Jeanette and her husband of more than 60 years, Henry, shared an incredible love for each other and an adventurous spirit throughout their lives. They found peace and enjoyment by planting flowers, watching birds, and learning about the nature that surrounded them. Their home was known by family, friends, and neighbors for its exquisite rose garden. Jeanette and Henry owned and operated Twin Oaks Nursery in Norman where they shared their lifelong passion for gardening with others. Jeanette was a member of the Norman Council Garden Club, Rose Society, and President of the Ragged Robins Garden Club. Jeanette and Henry owned a cabin at Lake Texoma where they hosted family and friends. Their grandchildren have many fond memories of fishing, water skiing, laughter, and friendly competition at the card table during their visits to the cabin. Jeanette enjoyed her final years with many friends at the Senior Cottages in Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry C. Greeson; two sons, Ronald and Gary Greeson; and her sister Lena Barber. She is survived by two brothers Carl Sebastian and his wife Rose of Oklahoma City, and Wayne Sebastian of Broken Arrow; one sister, Loreta Lewis of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, Rhonda Rider, Jeff Greeson, Matt Greeson, and David Greeson; five great-grandchildren, Brian and Brooklyn Rider, Todd Andrew Greeson, Jacob Greeson, and Benjamin Greeson; daughters-in-law Nancy Greeson, Laquita Greeson, and Ann Greeson; and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Jeanette Greeson will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005 at the Vondel L. Smith Mortuary in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association of Oklahoma, 3160 W. Britton Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
