Leon F. Graumann, 67, Moore died March 6, 2003. He was born 9-29-35 to Hattie & Ferdinand Graumann. Leon graduated from Granite High School in 1954. He worked the family owned business, Graumann Oil Co. while he continued his education at Southwestern State University, where he graduated in 1972 with a B.S. in Education. Leon married Shirley Everhart 6-25-1957 at Granite. They later moved to Moore, OK where Leon taught Algebra at Moore West Junior High and OKC Comm. College for 26 years. Leon was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Moore where he served as a youth director and was a member of the choir for 30 years. Leon enjoyed working and attending Moore athletic events, fishing, and traveling. He also helped run youth basketball in the Moore area with his family. Survivors include his wife Shirley Graumann of the home, and daughter Dana Graumann, son Greg and his wife Bobbie their 3 children Megan, Ashley and Ethan Graumann all of Moore, OK. Sisters Irene French of MWC, Agnes Norman and Barbra Jones of Granite and Virginia Sammons of Mt. Home, TX. One brother Douglas Graumann of Granite and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Leon was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held Mon. Mar. 10th 9:30AM at St. John's Lutheran Church Moore, OK. Funeral Services will be held Mon. Mar. 10th 3:30 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church Granite, OK under the direction of People's Funeral home Lonewolf, OK. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials sent to St. Johns Lutheran Church of Moore.
