She was born Feb. 6, 1924, in Bronx, NY. She married Herman Dwayne Hamm on Feb. 9, 1946. She was an active member of the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Moore, where she was also a member of the Altar Society. She enjoyed going with her friend, Florence, to nursing homes to do communion and visit with the elderly. Hamm was on the executive board of the Robertsons Women's Guild of the community and served as historian. She worked as a volunteer for various projects with the PTA and was involved in her grandchildren's school activities. She had a wonderful sense of humor that her family and friends enjoyed at family gatherings, including a yearly St. Patrick's Day celebration with the tales of Ireland and her mother's voyage from Ireland to Ellis Island. She was loved by her family and many friends. Her spirit will continue to live in her children and grandchildren who inherited her wit and humor. May she rest in peace and forever more. She is survived by her children, Steven Hamm and wife Vicki of Moore, Karen Jenkins of Helena, Ala., and Marilyn Culbertson and husband Lewis and children Meeghann, 14, Clinton, 12, and Connor, 8; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Mark Hamm of Moore and Daniel Jenkins of Helena; Laura Jenkins Rymer and husband Steve and children Thomas, 2, and Aaron, 6 weeks, of Helena; and brother Thomas Healy of San Francisco.
