Hinkle, 75, of Foster died Sunday, July 13, at Norman Regional Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Wooster Funeral Chapel in Pauls Valley with Lyndall Wrenner of Elmore City Church of Christ officiating. Wooster Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Hinkle was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Foster, to A.J. "Jap" and Nola Bonifield Hinkle. He graduated from Elmore City High School in 1947 and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. He worked in seismology for Cities Service Oil Co. from 1957 until he retired in 1983. He spent the majority of his retirement in Foster where he lived until his death. He had a lifelong passion for horses and was at his happiest on horseback. He especially enjoyed area trail rides and the companionship of his fellow riders. Mr. Hinkle was preceded in death by his brother, David Hinkle, and sister, Helen Hinkle Harrel. Mr. Hinkle is survived by his sons, Stephen Hinkle and wife, Joy, of Norman, Phillip Hinkle and wife, Rebecca, of Holiday Island, Ark., and Paul Hinkle and wife, Michelle, of Tulsa; daughter, Kim Hinkle Mauldin and husband, Stan, of Bartlesville; sister, Emma Jean Hinkle Longueville and husband, Jim, of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
