Services for George Henderson, Jr., 54, of Norman will be 10 a.m. 
today in the chapel of Guardian Funeral Home. Chaplain Harry Smith 
will officiate.

Mr. Henderson was born February 6, 1953, in South Haven, Michigan to 
George and Barbara Beard Henderson. He passed away June 8 in Norman.

Mr. Henderson moved to Norman from Detroit, Michigan in 1967. He 
attended First Presbyterian Church. He was an avid OU fan. He earned 
his Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree and a Masters of Human 
Relations degree, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Julie of the home; his parents George and 
Barbara Henderson of Norman; seven sisters: Michele A. Henderson of 
Norman, Faith E. Mosley of Norman, Lea A. Murr of Arizona, Joy L. 
Henderson-Baldwin of Norman, Lisa G. Henderson of Richardson, Texas 
and Dawn N. Johnson and her husband Stephen of Norman; and Jessica L. 
Henderson of Arizona; his beloved nieces and nephews: Kimberly M. 
Clift, Sterlin L. Mosley, Taylor Johnson, Alexander Zahel, Jordan 
Johnson, Louis Richard Arboisiere III, Cy Burnett and Isaiah Clift; 
and numerous extended family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Henderson's honor to the 
University of Oklahoma's Henderson Scholars Program or the George 
Henderson, Jr. Scholarship Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Guardian Norman Funeral Home.
