Services are pending with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. ========= Norman Transcript 15 May 2003 Erma Mandy Idleman Erma Mandy Idleman, 78, of Noble died Tuesday, May 13, at Purcell Municipal Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell with the Revs. Wayne Brown and Kent Wooster officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements. Mrs. Idleman was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Payne, the youngest of six children born to Ellis Orbin and Viola Catherine Fry Phillips. She grew up on a farm in the Payne community southwest of Purcell and attended the Lindsay schools. She married Ray Idleman Feb. 26, 1944, in Purcell. They raised four children and lived in the Noble community since 1951. Mrs. Idleman was a homemaker and was a beautician for many years in Noble. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Noble. She enjoyed crocheting. Mrs. Idleman was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Orville, Ellis Orbin, Garvin and Elgin Phillips Mrs. Idleman is survived by her husband, Ray Idleman of the home; daughter, Shirley Jones and husband, Jack, of Rosedale; sons, Orbin Idleman and wife, Janna, of Noble, Jim Idleman and wife, Tia, of Norman and Sam Idleman and wife, Shirley, of Noble; sister, Eunice Colliver of Noble; and sisters-in-law, Effie Phillips of Holtville, Calif., and Faye Phillips of Purcell; grandchildren, Lisa Standridge, Lance and Larae Idleman, Tera Potts, Tisha King, Brad Jones, Beth Cliff, Brian Jones, Lezley Idleman and Jennifer Thomas; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Bearers will be Orbin, Jim, Sam and Lance Idleman, Doyle Phillips and Brian and Jack Jones. Honorary bearers will be Fred Conley, James Farris, James and Tommy Colliver, Ollis Grayson, Dr. Ed Lee, Tom and Ted Idleman, J. E. Mullins, Bill Green, Brad Jones and Cecil Chandler.
