All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Calvary Hill Cemetery--Dallas TX Kirkham, Marion Marion Kirkham, of Norman, formerly of Wayne, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born on December 9, in Montreal, Canada. She was the oldest of three children born to Allan Bronfman and Freda Besner Bronfman. Marion grew up in Montreal, Canada and loved being outdoors and working with animals. This led her to her dream of owning a ranch and training horses. In 1972, she bought a ranch near Wayne, OK and became a respected horse breeder and rancher. For many years she was known as a breeder of racehorses, cutting horses and reining horses throughout the country. On December 27, 1986, she married Chris Kirkham, in Dallas, TX, and together they operated the ranch for several years. After leaving the horse business and moving to Norman she owned and operated a jewelry store in Norman. Marion will be remembered for her love for life and for the friendships she made throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by: husband, Chris Kirkham of the home in Norman; 1 daughter, Alana Hoffer of Montreal, Canada; 1 sister, Beverly Bronfman of Boca Raton, FL; 1 brother, Mitchell Bronfman of Montreal, Canada; extended family, Arcadio and Martina Chavez family; mother-in-law, Judy Kirkham; 1 brother-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law, several nieces and many friends. A Funeral Mass was held June 2, 2003, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, in Purcell. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX with Father Carl Vogel officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation. Funeral arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell, OK.
