Mayberry Denzil E. Mayberry, 86, of Lexington died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Purcell Municipal Hospital. Services are pending with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell. ========= Norman Transcript 21 Oct 2003 Denzil E. Mayberry Denzil E. Mayberry, 86, of Lexington died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Purcell Municipal Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Ron Vansell officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Cleveland County. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements. Mrs. Mayberry was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Trousdale, to Roy and Ona Jenkins Sanders. She married Dude Mayberry March 12, 1934, in Purcell. They established a home east of Lexington where they raised their four children. She was a homemaker and also worked in food service for several years. She was a charter member of the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God. Mrs. Mayberry is survived by her daughters, Jo Bugher and husband, Ted, of Lexington and Sharon Combs and husband, Don, of Lexington; son, Jim Mayberry of Sand Springs; brother, Kenneth Sanders of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Helena Carr of Oklahoma City, Alberta Haynes of Lexington and Arlene Crump of Lexington; sister-in-law, Mildred Sanders of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cleveland County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cleveland/cleveland.html
