He is surpassed in death by his parents, Clarence Vernon Mays and Bertie Lee Mays also originally from Norman. Don was the owner/operator of Tropical Fish House and Pets in Montclair for the last 43 years. As a long time resident of Pomona Valley, Don had been an avid bowler, but his true love was fishing and gold dredging. Don leaves behind his wife of 30 years Robbie, son; Mark Mays, daughter; Belinda Lee Gardner and husband Tim of Parkton, MD, daughter; Leia Teress Andrews and husband David of Upland. Two beautiful grandchildren Jordon 5 and Logan 4 months; brother Clarence "Sandy" Mays and his wife Donna; tw o nephews Scott and wife Anita Mays, Randy Mays and their families, brother in law; Carl Cranke and wife Sue and their sons Alex and Ryan of Battleground, Washington. Don was a loving, compassionate, fun loving man, an example for those around him. We were lucky he just went to sleep at home. If there is a river of Gold in heaven, he is teaching our Lord how to dredge it. Donations would be welcome to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. He will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn, Covina on January 10, 2007.
