All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== June 29, 2003 Clarence "Mac" McCharen Clarence "Mac" McCharen, 80, died Thursday, June 26. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Southminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Mr. McCharen was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Oklahoma City to Oma Dell and Clarence McCharen. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1943. After graduation, he joined the army and served for three years during World War II. He attended Bacone College. In 1947, he met and married Elise Anglin. They lived in Oklahoma City, where Mr. McCharen worked for 28 years at Central Sales Promotion until his retirement in 1993. Mr. McCharen was a long-time member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oma Dell and Clarence McCharen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elsie; one daughter, June Carter and her husband, Jack; two sons, Mike McCharen and his wife, Karen, and Jim McCharen and his wife, Belinda; three grandchildren, Bryan McCharen, Holly McLaughlin and her husband, Shawn, and Darren Carter; and one great- grandson, Braeden McLaughlin. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Cleveland County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/cleveland/cleveland.html
