Obit for Blanche Marie Nantois

Blanche Marie Nantois, 94, was born on June 1, 1908 and passed away on June 
9, 2002.  She was born in New York City to Guillanne and Elodine Latour, both 
of whom had immigrated from France.

She resided in New York City during her childhood and youth and married Marcel 
Nantois in 1942.  During World War II, she joined many other American women in 
the workplace by serving as a riveter at the U.S. Navy Shipyards.  She and her 
family moved to Oklahoma City in 1972.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Rene 
Latour.  Survivors include her son and his wife, Robert and Annette Nantois of 
Oklahoma City; a granddaughter and her husband, Nicole and Chayse Gibbons of 
Norman; a grandson, J. Eric Nantois of Tulsa; and a niece, Gail Nayler of San 
Diego, Calif.

Services were held June 11, in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with 
interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
